About

“Similar to taking powerful medication, it may not taste good or may be uncomfortably (sometimes painful) initially, but it is required for one to get better. Along that same vein, sometimes when we receive new truths, it may be uncomfortable or not sit well with us at first. Once we’ve accepted those truths, however, we start to experience freedom and a better life.”

Pao
🇺🇸🇵🇭

Pao grew up going to church. It wasn’t until 2004 that she gave her life to Christ and became a born-again believer. Over the years, her faith has been tested in many ways. Through the various trials she faced, her relationship with God has strengthen exponentially. Pao has no desire to return to her old life before Christ, but instead would like to share the love of God with others.

She is a non-traditional medical student, meaning she took several years off from school before starting medical school. During that time off, Pao worked at a couple of jobs in the medical field prior to pursuing her masters degree. She holds a Bachelor’s in Biological Science and a Master’s in Medical Health Sciences. She currently is working on becoming a physician.

Why did you create Pao-erful Medicine?

After overcoming several hardships, I understands just how important it is to keep my life (mind, body, and spirit) in balance, regardless of the circumstances. I created this website, a blog to be more specific, to encourage and inspire others to live their lives in balance. This is especially true for those who are going in to or currently working in the medical field. However, Pao-erful Medicine is not just for those in medical school or in the medical field. In fact, this blog is created for everyone!

⚠️This blog is strongly influenced by faith in God and in His Word (the Bible). The purpose of this is to demonstrate and share God’s love with everyone.✝️

How did you come up with the name Pao-erful Medicine?

Since my name is Pao, I thought it would be a cute play on words to use Pao-erful Medicine as my website name.

The name also fit the idea for the content that I will be posting. Similar to taking powerful medication, it may not taste good or may be uncomfortably (sometimes painful) initially, but it is required for one to get better. Along that same vein, sometimes when we receive new truths, it may be uncomfortable or not sit well with us at first. Once we’ve accepted those truths, however, we start to experience freedom and a better life.

What references do you use?

Whenever I’m making reference to the Word of God, I’m using the Holy Bible. I may use different translations, but I will give the book, chapter, and verse(s) so you can study the Word for yourself (which I highly recommend doing). On this website, I will typically include links to the Bible on YouVersion. It is a digital copy of the Bible that you can have anywhere (if you have a smart phone or some type of digital device with internet). It makes reading the Word more convenient!

I will also reference the Enduring Word Bible Commentary by David Guzik. Luckily, it also comes in app, so you can read in depth break down of each verse in the Bible wherever you go!

When referencing science related topics, I will include various credible sources that will hopefully use colloquial terms (since this website isn’t just geared for those in the medical field). Similarly to the Bible links, I will also include the links to the websites I’m referencing.
