What I Needed

If we are all being honest, we should be thankful for the things that God has removed from our lives. In the moment that He does, it certainly doesn’t feel good, but is almost always what was needed to be done.

Also, we should be thankful for not always getting the things we wanted. Instead, God gives us exactly what He knew we need. Similar to having things removed from our lives, not getting what we wanted can be just as upsetting. But it’s a blessing in disguise. Not everything we want is good for us. In fact, some things or people that we want can actually be harmful to us.

Although we already celebrated Thanksgiving day, here in the U.S., I’d like us all to still reflect on the things that the Lord has protected us from by either removing or not granting us what we wanted. I’d like us to reflect on how the Lord has provided exactly what we needed time and time again. It may help our current situations seem minuscule because we know that we serve a good, good Father who truly cares for us and provides exactly what we need when we need it.
